Having attended the English Wine Producers Trade Tasting last week, one of the highlights for me was the continuing brilliance of Nyetimber Vineyard from West Sussex.
At 400 acres, Nyetimber is Englandʼs largest vineyard and one of the most successful. Over the years, they have won many international awards, including ‘Best Worldwide Sparkling Wine’ three times, ahead of the top Champagnes. Made from 100% Chardonnay using the traditional Champagne method, this wine retains an incredible freshness, so many years after bottling. Biscuit, honey and tropical fruit aromas complement a lively palate of nutty and vanilla flavours with a complex yet subtle fruity aftertaste of citrus and stone fruit.
Nyetimber is at the forefront of the English wine revolution and their new bottle labelling reinforces their fresh, modern and quality approach to classic wine making.
